Every year I love going to my

Adams Family Reunion.

We usually go camping but this year we

went to my grandparents homestead.

Their home is no longer standing.

It was fun to take my kids up there and

let them see the creek and where I played as a girl.

It was also the last time I got to see my

Uncle Chet he passed away a week after we

got together.(sorry I don't have a picture of him

he was to sick)

I have to say this was a class that made me

loose lots of sleep with all the many projects

that she had there was nights she

never went to bed. Being the mom I

am I would get up at least a 1000 times

and tell her it was time for bed. One time

in getting up to tell her to go to bed I ran into

the wall and got a black eye.

It is so neat that they all enjoy

the love of music and love

being with one another

So when we finally decided to get up and
going on New Years morning. I wanted
to go downtown Mesa to try out
this little restaurant that I
had seen one day when I was downtown.

It is really good and cozy!!!

Then we walked downtown main street
and browsed in the little shops that were
open. We have a friend that
just opened up a shop that is
called Evermore Nevermore so
if you get a chance go check it out.

I love to go downtown main street
and check out all the statues.. but
my favorite is the big PINK Chair..

Konner was a little short and had

a hard time getting up in the PINK chair..

to go forth and work hard at each

my blog which I have already
started out right.

the New Years Eve at home
We did not go to the dunes over
the holidays and spend it there.
Which was a nice change...

We still all stayed up and

Christmas morning comes early at our house
for some reason our children still get up at 6:00 am...
This year was no different they were up and trying
to pull us out of bed..... I am way to old to be getting
up early on my day off....

Lonnie never wanted a dog
a few years ago, I gave
into the kids and told
them they could have a
dog. So when Lonnie got
back from a business trip
I told him that we were getting
a dog. Well needless to say
Lonnie is totally crazy about our dog.

day Kassi came home
with a tutu from work and
guess what..............

on Christmas Eve... They love
this game and just watching them

This year we planned to do the Temple lights
with Bly and Mary Lou
It had rained all day and it was cold.
We started the evening out
with Pizza and wings at our house.
We was glad that Deke and Mekell
and kids came over for that.
Sorry we was too busy eating to get any

Konner's 5th grade breakfast

After the 5th grade play the parents
get to make a breakfast for the
5th graders the following morning.
Those parents that can come and help
get to cook the breakfast and it is a lot of fun.
I have been able to help with all my
kids 5th grade breakfast and it has been
so much fun.

Surf n Santa 5th grade play

Since Kassi was in Elementary School

our children has got to be
involved in the 5th grade play.

This year Konner got to be in the
5th grade play and he was so excited.

I was sad because he is my baby and
this is the last time that my kids
will get to do the 5th grade play again.
But I know they will have other
opportunities to do other performances.

Karli's Winter Formal

As our kids get older we get to have more
dances, dates, and adventures with them.
Karli decided she wanted to ask one
of the boys from her Seminary class to
Winter Formal.

So baked Jorgen a cake and put a note
in the middle of it asking him. He had
to eat the whole cake before he found the note.

A couple of days later Jorgen brought Karli
a plate of brownies with little white scrolls
sticking out of them. She had to read all
the little scrolls to get her answer. The
funny think about the brownies Karli
does not it eat CHOCOLATE! So she
was letting everyone in Seminary eat
the brownies.

The morning of Winter Formal
they all got together and built
Gingerbread houses(Sorry she forgot
to take her camera) But they had
a lot of fun!!!

Then off to get ready for the dance.
A big THANKS to our wonderful
hairdresser Janda for doing such
a beautiful job with her hair.

This year at school Konner had the choice to continue
playing in the Orchestra or join band.
He really wanted to give band a try and
wanted to play the saxophone.

Being his 1st year they are learning a lot about
there instruments and how to read music notes
so they did not have a concert until December.
Which I totally loved because it started out
the Christmas season.

We was not able to get any pictures of him
playing with his class because of the
way they were positioned.

We did get a couple of him after the concert.

We really encourage our children
to discover their talents, I have
always had a love for music and
want our children to have that
same love for it also.

Thanksgiving weekend at GLAMIS

This year Lonnie, Konner and myself
headed to Glamis Sand Dunes
to spend Thanksgiving.
Karli ventured to Happy Holbrook
to see family and friends,
Kassi and Kristopher both
had to stay behind to work.

We love spending time at the dunes and
always have so much fun. This time
we stayed in a new area and really
liked it. We always meet new
friends and everyone is one
big family!

Love this picture it was a beautiful day on
our first ride of the trip. We stopped on top
of dune for a break so I had to take this
picture of our new sand car.

This was our campsite, usually we are all
in one big wagon wheel circle. But this area
we stayed in was right off the end of the road
and we parked in a line that opened out to
the dunes it was beautiful and very nice we didn't
have all the crazy sand wash traffic.
Yes that is our sand car and my home
away from home it is the only way to camp!

glad that Michelle was able to come out
and enjoy the fun and that she is doing so much

At Comp Hill!! We all have the same flags
thanks to Gerald's dad!! Hoosier Tires.

doing really good and has so much fun. He did
dump his quad on it side and I freaked out but he
got up and back on it.

The 1st day at the dunes, we seen these guys at

Olds Hill, we all laughed at how the one
guy was dressed. Well the next day when
we was out at the hill, they came walking
by and Big Al walked up to them and
started talking with them. They were
Marines on leave and decided to come out
and hang out at the dunes before they were
shipped off for 6 months. You never
know what you might see at the dunes.
Oh by the way Big Al smelled of
coconut oil the rest of the day!

We all pitch in and bring a dish or 2. We
have a couple of turkey's and hams and then
we all get together and have one big
Happy Thanksgiving Dinner.

It is so much fun, and it was really fun to get
to meet new friends from California.

I love this picture. We had just been on a ride
and it was really cold, the clouds were just sitting

I am so thankful for all the wonderful
friends and family that we have.
That we are able to go and have fun with them
and be together as a family. Yes I did
miss my Kassi, Kristopher and Karli.

Halloween is always a big holiday at our
house!!! We started it out by having a
Halloween Family party the night before.
Then craving our pumpkins,dressing up,
the ward party and friends house.
We was lucky this year and got to have
our little Shaye visit us.

Halloween this year we decide to have a family
party... being that Shanna and her family was here
from Poway, CA. We would have loved it if Trina
and her family could had been here from Campbell, CA
but they were here in spirit. Besides they was
home surprising Ian for his "50th Birthday'' Also
Brittany our niece was here in spirit
from Italy where she is serving her mission.

We are always ready for a party and it doesn't
matter how well it is planned we love to spend
time with our family.

missing is Brittany but these girls have always
had a close bond and a girls club growing up.
Eden is the youngest granddaughter and she is
my oldest sisters baby!!!

are doing so well. We know the journey has not
been easy. Keep up the smiles!!

This year we sold our old Sand car and bought a
different one. Since Lonnie has been extra special this
year he got an early birthday present.

Our first trip to the dunes this season just happen to
fall on his birthday again!!!

LOOK WHO IS 16!!

Karli turned "Sweet 16"
and we decided to surprise her with
her dear friend coming from Holbrook.

So we decided that we would take her
to Walmart for the surprise. Her friends
came into town and went there. We went
up there and she was only focused on getting
the stuff we needed and I kept wandering
through the clothing where I knew her friends
were hiding. Finally Kassi and I got
her to come and look at something
all of sudden she seen her friends and
the look of SURPRISE came over
her face.
Needless to say she had to look twice!

over to the house for home

Well the movie had a small change
due to Karli getting her first

We all attended the Globe 1st Ward Church

Kristopher one night started to tease
Ravin with her toys. Well the next
thing I seen was this....

Well I know I have been a slacker and have a lot of blogging to catch up!

In August we went to Globe for our nieces mission farewell...
Not all the family was able to make it but those who did
we had a great time.

We all met for dinner at one of the great Mexican Food restaurants in Globe!

he has done for me. I appreciate all the wonderful things
you have given us. Life with you has been

to have him as my Eternal companion.

FATHER'S DAY

Konner was asked to give a talk

in Sacrament Meeting on Fathers Day.

He told me that he would prepare it all

by himself. So as the week continue I

asked him what he was going to talk on.

He said mom I am working on it. So

the Friday before he brought his talk

to me. I was totally impressed that

he had did it all by himself. I posted

his talk below.

I was asked to talk on father’s today.

My dad works as a Test Engineer at his job. He builds and tests air bags to make sure they work properly and are safe for the vehicles.

In our home my dad is the Spiritual Engineer. He teaches me by his example how I should live the gospel. He has shown me how I can engineer a testimony of Jesus Christ, by studying my scriptures, praying, paying my tithing, keeping a journal, attending my church meetings and preparing myself now to go to the temple some day and serving my mission. I know that as I follow these teachings my testimony will grow each day.

I am thankful for my dad he takes the time to teach me new things everyday and I love spending time with him.

Wow! I thought Konner did a wonderful job. I am so

thankful for Lonnie for all that he does for our

family and myself. He is a caring, loving and just fun

to our children and me. Thank you Lonnie for all

you do for us. We love you!

I have to say that Lonnie has a addiction to the sand..
Yes, needless to say about 5 years ago I made
the mistake of letting him go with the guys
to Glamis Sand Dunes to play on quads...
Well short story, we started out with quads,
then we graduated to a Sand Car, but now
we have graduated to the next level
of another Sand Car....

our friend Al. It has been a great car for him
and I know that it will be a great car for us..

Today we made these cute Rock Band People
They were a lot of fun. I couldn't find a guitar button.
So to make the guitar I took a fish bead and put a toothpick
on the end of it. Then we used wooden beads for
the drums. We used googly eyes, pompoms,
colored threaded and pipe cleaners for

This is Konner's! He was so cute he went to the
craft store with me to find guitars and
he really got excited helping look for
something to make them out of.

It is that time of year again when it is so HOT
that we find ourselves in the house all day.
During the summer with my daycare children
we do a Theme Activity Week.
This week was Magic Week.
We made magic wands, top hats and magic plaster.
But the big excitement was the Magic Show
that Karli and Konner planned.

Here is the kids making their tops hats, we used markers,
crayons, and fun foam stickers. They were all
so proud of their hats they wore them all day.

The great thing about it they are able to
work on some of their church goals and pass them off.

Karli is so good with the kids, she had them learning
magic words in spanish. Konner is looking

So last week I went into Kristopher's room to get
him up at 11:30 am (the life of a teenager)
This is what I saw....

Kristopher got the little panda bear from the
hospital when he was born 19 years ago.

His Grandma Larson crocheted the blanket,
which he has totally worn out it is now in
two pieces and comes apart every time
it hits the washer.

Nothing like a little cuddling and blankie time..
Even as a grown kid it is so cute to see him sleeping.

This will be a great picture to share with his
wife someday when he gets married...

Oh by the way the hairy legs he inherited from
his dad!!!!

Karli's 9th grade formal....

Karli had her 9th grade formal at Shepherd Jr High
which in Mesa the kids go to Junior High from
7th grade to 9th grade(Freshman)
So at the end of the year they give
the 9th graders a Formal dance.

Karli decided to go to the dance. But she is
not a girly girl.... So Kassi finally convinced her
that she needed a dress to wear and took
her dress shop what a experience.
Needless to say nothing can be
pink in her wardrobe.

Fun at the Adams Reunion...

It has been a tradition as long as I can remember
that every year in April we have the
Adams Family Campout.
It is always so much fun to see all the aunts, uncles,
cousins, etc.... Each year one of my mom's
siblings and their family are in charge.
This year Uncle Chet and Aunt Clea was in
charge. They did a great job and a big thanks for
all their family that was there to help them.

We have always left it open for those who
want to camp can and some just come up
for the day. It is always great to be together.

Lonnie and Konner went up Friday afternoon and
got camp ready for us. Well some people says it is
not camping the way I camp... but what can
you say for the city girl RV all the way.
Kassi, Karli and I came up later that evening
and Lonnie had dinner waiting for us. What a great
hubby catering to his Queen and Princesses

Best of all was the "SNIPE HUNT"
that grandpa Ken took the kids on Saturday night.
All the kids were so excited when they got back to

one story that really impressed everyone was
Karli being bit by one..... Let it be
the end of the story.

The Smores' and campfire stories
are always so fun and I love my
children to hear about my parents, grandparents
aunts, uncles and family and their lives.

I love to go to this reunion every year
it is so much fun and we have such
a strong family bond. I have a special place
in my heart for all my mom's sibling.
My Grandma Adams was such a wonderful woman
and raised a special family.

A Special Lady in my Life....

Today I would like to pay a tribute
to a Special Lady that was such
a great inspiritation in my life.

This is my Grammy Adams.
I loved this lady so much and
cherish all the times I spent with
her as a child. She taught me
so much growing up. I remember
all the times I would go and
stay with her. We would go
to the garden early in the mornings
and she always would be so cheerful and
singing as we worked. She taught me how
to work and not be afraid to work. I would
get up early with her and go to Uncle Ross's
cafe where she cooked. I would play in the
storage boxes until it was time to go home.
She loved everyone around her and
never said any unkind thing.
She had a great love for our Savior
Jesus Christ which I will always
respect for she showed me through
her example I have the same love for my Savior.

Today is my Grandma Adams birthday
she would have been 106.
She will always be alive in my heart.
I know that she is always there with
me, looking down at me with
her beautiful smile.

Adams Family Campout.
Excited to go this weekend to celebrate
this Great Lady's Life.

My Grandma married at 16 yrs old to my
grandpa (I never knew him, but I know he was a great man)
She helped raise his 1st family and had 4 handsome sons
and 3 beautiful daughters of their own.
Along with that came lots of wonderful son and daughter in-laws
grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

What a handsome couple. I am so
glad to be part of this family.

Uncle Len, Uncle Glen, Grandma, Aunt Mettie,
Uncle Harvey, Shirley(my mother) and Uncle Chet

month for a family dinner. It is wonderful to
have great family bonds.

Uncle Len passed away in 1991 and we lost Uncle Glen
in 2006 both these uncles were great
men and loved Grammy Adams so much.

Easter is such a fun holiday.
I love the spring time, the flowers
blooming, the orange blossoms,
the warmer days!

Our kids are getting older and with
all their crazy schedules it is hard to get
us all together at once. Of course
they are losing interest in dying
Easter Eggs.

A Girl can never have enough shoes!!!
Even at 2 years old.

My little (grand) niece Avery comes to
my daycare. She is totally in love
with shoes. She was playing and was in everyone's
tote taking out their shoes. It got really quiet and the
next thing I know she is asleep on the couch
with all the shoes around her. It is
pretty bad when you love shoes that
much you have to sleep with them.

Of course she takes after her
Aunt Lisa every woman should
have lots and lots of shoes....

Kassi's surgery.....

Kassi had her left hip replaced almost 2 weeks ago
this her on the morning of her surgery. Waiting
to go up to surgery. So cheerful!!!

THE WONDERFUL WAITING ROOM!!

As you see surgery waiting rooms are not a foreign
place for us. We come well prepared with pillows,
blankets, ipods, books and much more...
Needless to say the waiting rooms are
always like a meat locker COLD!

ready to take an snooze....
Lisa has got a make shift bed with 2 chairs together
sleeping all curled up under her warm blanket..

Konner is totally content as long as he
has his PSP or DS to play he is happy!!

Her surgery went really well and Dr. Worthington
was very pleased how smooth the new
hip went in. We are praying that she will
heal fast with no complications like her right hip.

nurse giving her some pain meds to get her
comfortable. As you can see she had already
started to bruise from them trying to get
an IV in her little veins.

Kassi came home from the hospital last
Friday! Yeah!!! This was the shortest
stay for one of her surgeries. She did exceptional

well recovering from surgery this time.

BEWARE OF THE NEXT PICTURE VERY GRAPHIC.
SO IF YOUR TUMMY CAN'T HANDLE IT SKIP IT.

On Saturday her in home nurse came over and
changed her dressing of course I had to
get the camera and take a picture. It looks
worse than it really is. It is healing like it should.
and Dr. Worthington did a great job.
We want to thank everyone for
keeping Kassi in your prayers
and thoughts. We love all of you!!

Yard Sale Time!!!!

Nothing like a fun yard sale with friends...
Paula was needing to have a yard sale
so I kindly volunteered my driveway.
Then we invited others to participate which
we had alot of fun. On Friday night we
all set up for it and Lonnie grilled us
hamburgers. Then on Saturday bright
and early we began our sale...
Our motto was if we don't sell anything
we will at least have a fun time.
The yard sale was a big success!!!

Kassi is getting a little antsy to have her surgery
and she has been off work for the last 2 weeks due
to the doctors orders. Well that means she
gets to spend her days with the daycare children and
good old mommy!!

Well the other day she was baking cookies and listening
to the kids have a discussion who was going
to ride in the wagon next.
I looked out the window to see that she
had went and climbed in the wagon with Dylan
and told them it was her turn for a ride.
They were so excited they
just kept giggling and laughing.

Kassi is already for the ride. Come on kids lets get
going!!!

a little harder....

Faster, faster, faster, here we go!

Wow that was a lot of work! Needless to
say they all wanted to push her some
more. It was really cute. I guess
she needed to have a little fun
before she will be laid up for the
next 8 to 12 weeks with her
hip replacement. Maybe I can
teach the kids to take care
of her for me and I can sit on the
couch and eat Bon-Bons and watch
my HGTV Shows! (Yeah right).

REN-FAIR 2009

It is that time of year to go back into time and
visit the Ren-Fair. Lonnie, I, Konner, Kassi and
our niece Brittany went a couple of weeks ago
We always have a fun time. Going to the
different shows, booths and most of all people watching!

we had to ask Konner to work...

Beware another New Driver!

Karli is our newest teenager driver!
She could hardly wait until
she could get her permit and she
counted the days down. I have
to say that she study the
Driver Manual and knew it
word for word. She did miss
one question she said it
was worded funny! Now she
will give Mom and Dad a few
more gray hairs and I am sure
Mom will have lots of stress and panic
attacks when letting her drive with her.
That is why Mom leaves the
driver training to Dad.

What a do we have here?

Kristopher wore his kilt to the
Ren-Festival needless to say that
he grew a beard so he would look
like someone from that time.

Kristopher was givin the nickname
"LLAMA"
a few years back so every
year when he goes to the
Ren-Festival he has his picture
taken with himself.

Well the day after they went
he shaved his face. What

Yes, he looks much
better with a clean face.
Of course I am the mom
and I prefer it clean shaven.

He is such a good kid.
He drives us crazy most the
time and never sleeps
at night. But he
has a heart of gold .

At the Blue and Gold Banquet
we have such great leaders...

On President weekend Mom Larson and Alonna came to Mesa to go to the RenFest with our kids while we were at the dunes. They got here on Saturday afternoon and had a great time with Karli and Konner. On Sunday they went to church with the kids and afterwards Russ, Cary and Avlee came over to visit and have dinner with them. Monday morning

they got up and headed to the Ren-Fest with the kids

which they had a great time.

Mom and Alonna packed up their belongings and headed back to Holbrook. About a hour later we recieved a call that they had been in an accident. Apparently a semi was driving and his dual rear axle came off the truck, sticking straight up in middle of the road, Mom had no warning and hit it head on in the Yukon then hitting the concrete barrier before coming to a stop. They both insisted that they were fine, but Lonnie had the paramedics haul them to Payson to check them out. They both have several bruises, bumps, contusion, airbag burns, and whiplash. Our concern is that mom having had hip replalcements recently and the impact on her hips.

We pray that her hips are fine and her and Alonna's

bodies will heal from their injuries

On Saturday, Lonnie and I went to Sunflower to get their
belongings out of the Yukon. I was so sick when I seen the Yukon
and know that angels had been watching over them.

My thoughts this week have been so deep about this accident

and I have been so grateful that our

Heavenly Father watched over them and protected them for us.

a granny. It has been a great car
but it finally died. So as it sits
lonely outside our house and least
to say jealous of its replacement.

Last night Lonnie and I went

to Karli's school for an open house

Karli has a AA English class
that she keeps her
really busy with
extra projects.
She had to write a poem
and them act it out
in front of her class.
So guess who got to be
her pre-audience
MOM AND DAD!

She did great and her class
loved the poem. She did
tell me that she forgot a
couple of her lines in her poem
while acting it out but quickly
made some new lines up as
she presented it.

love for the game. She is a very good player.

Our Avery Girl

This special little girl was welcomed into
our hearts 2 1/2 years ago to my niece
and nephew Mekell and Deke. It has been
such a neat experience to be able to
share this wonderful adoption process
with them from the beginning. From the
day she arrived we were able to have
Mekell, Deke and big brother Hunter
in our home while she was in the
hospital. What a great day when she
finally got to go home with them.
This last week her adoption became final.
I have had the opportunity to care for
her in my home and she is
a beautiful little girl that our
Heavenly Father has sent here.

CHRISTMAS IS FOR GIVING

I love Christmas, it is such a special time of year to celebrate.
The true meaning of Christmas for me is giving to others.
This year our family had a wonderful opportunity to give
Christmas to one my daycare families that have
been a little down on their luck.

As we began preparing for this I seen such a unity,
love and kindness in our children.
Each little act of providing for this family grew
with excitement for the big day that we
would be delivery the gifts.

On Christmas Eve Day, we took the gifts
to their home and left them on the doorstep.
Wondering as we left the excitement this family
would have. (Needless to say the older
son came out as we drove off, seeing us)

It was so neat to watch our children share in the
excitement of giving to others.

When the little girls returned to daycare
this week they were so excited to
tell me that they had Christmas after all.
Yes, their mom had figured it out it was us.

The mom handed me a thank you card. It reads as follows

We justed wanted to let you know that
what you did was so special.
Our family had the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER.
There are no words to be able to thank you enough.

We really did enjoy everything, and that will stay with us forever.

Our family has been so touched by giving to this family.
Tears have filled my eyes and my heart
has been full for the joy that I have
seen in our family by giving to others.

THE KILT

Kristopher had bugged me for about
6 months for a kilt. So with lots
of internet searching I found
him a kilt for Christmas.

You would have thought he was
a little kid by the way he
reacted he was so excited.

One Happy Dude!!Needless to say he wore the
Kilt for about a week straight.
Yes, he wanted to wear it
just like they do in the RAW.

Little Jamison

Jamison has been coming to my house since

December 15th was Jamison last day with
me. His family is moving to St. Louis.

CRAZY KITTY

On Sunday, I came home from church and our dog was just barking
like a mad dog in the kitchen...

I looked up on top of the cabinets and behind the
decorations appeared our crazy kitty.
She refused to get down so Karli had to
get her down. The dog must have chased

her so up she jumped for safety.
